If you want to design your own jacket from scratch…

Step 1. Select your jacket. Pick your jacket from this page. Once you have selected your jacket, add it to your basket.
Step 2. Personalise. Pick your letter style from this page. Once you have selected your letter style, simply type in your required name, and then confirm the number of letters required before adding to your basket. (Sorry, the website isn’t quite clever enough yet to calculate the number of letters in the name you just typed in… but we are working on it!)
Step 3. Patch it up. Pick your patches from this page and add to the basket. Please take note of patch sizes which are all detailed under the patch description.
Step 4. Check out.
Step 5. Approve your design layout. We email you a photo of what the jacket will look like with letters and patches in place for you to approve. If you have any changes, we will update the layout and send you back another visual for approval. Once you say OK, we will get stitching everything into place.
Step 6. Get excited while we get stitching!

Option 2 – Personalise one of our pre-patched designs

Step 1. Select your jacket. Pick your jacket from this page. Once you have selected your pre-patched design, add it to your basket.
Step 2. Personalise. Pick your letter style from this page. Once you have selected your letter style, simply type in your required name, and then confirm the number of letters required before adding to your basket. Step 3. Check out.
Step 4. Approve your design layout. We email you a photo of what the jacket will look like with letters and patches in place for you to approve. If you have any changes, we will update the layout and send you back another visual for approval. Once you are happy, we will start stitching everything into place.
Step 5. Get excited while we get stitching!

As each item is handmade to order, please allow us 15 working days to make your jacket (for UK orders with no amends to the original design). However, most of the time we can get it done quicker.

But if you need it the jacket sooner, just direct mail us on insta or drop me an email at claire@ourpatchoftheplanet.com and I will do my very best to get it done for you.

If in doubt, we encourage you to order the bigger size. Denim doesn’t have much stretch, and besides, oversize jackets looks really, really cute. It also means that it will last you longer as it will take your little one longer to grow out of it.

If you are really unsure, you can always compare our sizes from the size guides to a jacket that you have that fits your little person perfectly.

At the moment, as we are a small business, we only have limited stock available, however if you would like to order a jacket and your size isn’t available, please direct message us on instagram, or email us at claire@ourpatchoftheplanet.com with details the size you are after and we will do our best to get a jacket in stock for you ASAP. We haven’t yet failed at getting the size required in stock (famous last words!)

We can only fit a maximum of 6 letters across the shoulders. But for longer names, we can look at alternative designs that will take up a bigger space on the back of the jacket. We will email you with a photo with the patches in place to make sure you are happy with the design before we start stitching in place.

We recommend no more than 8 letters on each jacket, but as each character and jacket is a different size, it’s not an exact science. Before we start stitching each jacket, we will send you a proof of where we plan to place the patches / characters for your approval. If you don’t like what we are planning to do, we will look at alternative designs that will work, and resend you a proof (Each jacket comes with 2 proofs). If we can’t get to an agreed layout, or you don’t want to use all patches you have bought, we will refund accordingly.

We recommend no more than 6 medium patches on the back of each jacket, and 4 on the front. But as each patch and jacket is a different size, it’s not an exact science. So please take a look on our instagram at the jackets we have made for ideas, and take a note of the patch sizes when choosing to help you. Before we start stitching each jacket, we will send you a proof of where we plan to place the patches for your approval. If we can’t make your selection work, we will look at alternative designs and patches that will work, send you a proof to make sure you’re happy with the design before we stitch anything in place.

We will exchange any products if the supplied product doesn’t match the approved proof. But overall, as each item is custom-made to your specification, we cannot accept returns. We have been as descriptive as possible regarding the jacket sizes, and we really urge you to check the size guides before placing your order to make sure you get the perfect fit, as sadly we can’t refund wrong sizes due to the bespoke customisation.

Well wouldn’t an international order be exciting!!! Yes, we will be very, very happy to ship internationally. Shipping fees as £4.99 for the UK, and £14.99 for the rest of the world.

Of course you don’t have to have a name on the jacket if you don’t want one. You can just have patches if you like, simply select your jacket and just go straight to the patches page to add your favourite patches to your basket. You can also just have a name and no patches if you like. Simply just select your jacket, add your letters and check out.

Of course, simply just add the patches to your basket, check out and we’ll get them in the post asap.

To make sure your jacket stays looking its best, we recommend spot cleaning only, and if you really need then cool hand-wash with a delicate detergent.

If you want to buy more than one jacket then that makes us very, very happy so thank you. But at the moment, the website can’t tell us what patches you want on each jacket. So to order more than one jacket, please add both jackets, patches, and required letters to the basket, and then let us know in the comments section what patches you want on which jacket.

We really, really want to, but as this is a small business that has just started, we want to see how it goes first. But if we can make this work (which we really want to do) we can’t wait to find some amazing ethical suppliers who produce amazing jackets to work with.
